First Look: Dori, Nori, and Ori From ‘The Hobbit’

With Peter Jackson’s ‘The Hobbit’ in full swing, it’s expected that we would start seeing a couple of production photos to hit the web right around this time. There have already been a few released through Entertainment Weekly, one depicting Gandalf (Ian McKellan) sitting upon a hill smoking some pipe weed. Awesome to be sure. Now we have a press photo of the dwarf brothers Dori, Nori, and Ori.

Here’s a description:

These three brothers, all sons of the same mother, could not be more different from each other. Dori, the oldest, spends much of his time watching out for Ori, the youngest; making sure he’s not caught a chill or got himself killed by Wargs or Goblins. Nobody quite knows what Nori gets up to most of the time, except that it’s guaranteed to be dodgy and quite probably, illegal. Dori, Nori and Ori are intensely loyal to each other – and whilst they are perfectly happy fighting amongst themselves, woe-betide any anyone who means harm to one of these brothers.

Looks pretty cool!

Andre Ethier walks back to the dugout after an at-bat

Big scenic shot of the StadiumThis is probably the best looking picture of food I’ve ever taken. It somehow manages to make Disney Mexican food look good. The backside of a sign in the Paradise Pier area at DCANothing special but I really liked how this one turned out. Plus, this attraction is where the name of this site comes fromLook closely and you can see the name here“So, what do you hear about this new World Of Color show?”Check out the reflection in the water Really dug the framing of the sign using the metal work outsideTook my Mom to the Carlsbad Flower Fields for her birthday and this is the first from those shots

April’s Month Of Photos: Days 1-15!

Okay, okay… so I fell off “a bit” on posting them but I was still taking them!  Maybe not one a day like I’d hoped but I came up with 35 I really, really liked from the month.  And as a (sorta) man of my word, I post ‘em up now.

My sister-in-law’s dog Sparky posing

We had some awesome clouds early in the month. Made me feel creative.

Really liked the composition of this one. Something about that palm tree.

With the sun trying to break through on this one, it looks snazzy. This isn’t exactly what I wanted but shooting this through the metal grating covering the openings in the hallway outside the apartment worked pretty wellYou’ve seen this one already. Shot while driving! DANGER!During the rain, we had snails all over the hallways. Got this one on my way home one night.

FIRE! FIRE! This is actually one of those plastic candle lighting lighters. The Missus took this one.And this oneI think I titled this one “When Worlds Collide”

I wanted to leave the plate number up as punishment for whoever would sport a frame like that but my better half intervened. This one is of the knee of my jeans. I just really liked the detail in it.
A shot of a stained glass window at night that got all funky because of the camera trying to adjust for the darkness.
My first Dodger game of the year brought some cool shots like this one.
