‘The Avengers’ Foe Revealed?

We’ve been hearing a lot of news from the set of Joss Whedon’s ‘The Avengers’. Yesterday, while there were set pics of Captain America in full gear saving the day, we also had a glimpse of a certain… weapon from a certain… group of bad guys. Beware, what follows well be a bit of a spoiler for ‘The Avengers’. YE BE WARNED!

SO, it’s very possible that this is a weapon devised by Loki, but I have to say… that looks very much like a weapon to be used by The Skrulls. Those who are fans of the Blanked by Zombies podcast will know that we’ve theorized that the Skrulls would be involved, and how much of a risk it would be for the Marvel crew to do something THAT out of this world. But Marvel took a risk with Thor, and Cap and turned it into instant success! I have every bit of faith in Marvel, and every bit of faith in Joss Whedon!

Captain America on ‘The Avengers’

So as we are all aware, Joss Whedon is off shooting Marvel’s ‘The Avengers’ with Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr. and Samuel L. Jackson. One of the big concerns for fans has always been how the superhero costumes will appear on screen. SInce Comic Con, we’ve seen a lot of Cap’s new costume, but never a pic with Chris Evans in it. Well, wish granted interwebs!

‘Batman: Arkham City’ 12 Minute Demo!

Check this out! This is a 12 minute demo of the new Batman Arkham City game due out October 21! It features Batman pitted against a gang of thugs and the infamous Harvey Dent! Check it out, it’s pretty awesome!

TARDIS News: My ‘Torchwood: Miracle Day’ Screener Has Arrived!

Hello everyone! I can’t tell you how excited I am for the new Starz original series ‘Torchwood: Miracle Day’. I finally received my screener today of the first episode entitled, ‘The New World’.

Coming soon, there will be the first, and very special episode of the all new TARDIScast, a podcast hosted by yours truly that will focus entirely around the world of Doctor Who and it’s spinoffs. We will have a full review SPOILER FREE of the first episode before it airs July 8th on Starz. Once again, I will not reveal spoilers, and I will not be revealing any photos from the show that we do not own the rights for. Click the jump for some details on the upcoming series!

‘Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol’ Teaser Trailer

Who knew ‘Iron Giant’ and famed Pixar director Brad Bird could direct action? I gotta say, this looks like a great time at the movies. M:I – Ghost Protocol hits theaters this December. A bit of an inspired release date, but still, will be a great time!

‘Jurassic Park’ The Complete Collection on Blue-Ray

FINALLY! The Jurassic Park series is coming to blue ray October 25, 2011.

The set will come with all three films and a slew of special features. There will also be a collector’s edition that features a colorful, if silly, T-Rex Figurine. Here’s the press release and  a list of the Features:

‘Ghostbusters’ Pixar Style!

Chris and I are notorious for loving just about anything Pixar related! And anyone who listens to the podcast will know that I’m a huge fan of Ghostbusters! Well I can’t think of anything better than a mash up of the two!

After browsing a bit on /Film this morning, I came across an article in which Peter Sciretta described an artist he had emailed regarding a series of CGI rendered adaptations of the Ghostbusters. The artist’s name is Fabrizio Fioretti and for no particular reason, other than the fact that no one had done it before, he made this beautiful works of art in 3D!

The LA Times has released an image of a giveaway poster that will be available to a very lucky hundred at the Hero Complex Film Festival in Hollywood next weekend. Marvel will be giving these posters away at their presentation next sunday in which they will also unveil the new Captain America poster! Check out this beautiful work of art after the jump!
